From the Editors of Your Family Today

Send To A Friend

Mini-bagels are just the right size for an energizing snack. If your PB&J-loving kids also like fig cookies or bars, they will love that this sandwich is topped with fresh fig instead of jam. Better yet, the fruit’s melt-in-your mouth sweetness is packed with potassium and fiber along with the cancer-fighting antioxidants polyphenols.

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients
1 whole-wheat mini-bagel
1 tablespoon crunchy peanut butter
1 fresh fig, cut into thin slices

Directions
1.    Split bagel and top with peanut butter.

2.    Arrange fresh fig slices over peanut butter.
